Can you say that you are present to what is happening in front of you in the moment 100% of the time?

Can you say you are present 75% of the time? Half the time?

Or do you suck at being in the moment? It’s hard sometimes to not let your mind wander!

Maybe you’re thinking about someone’s reaction to something you are saying instead of focusing on crafting your words in an honest, loving way in the moment.

Maybe you’re thinking fearfully about losing your job instead of doing the very best you can so you feel good about yourself.

Maybe you’re thinking about your to-do list when the opportunity arises to get jiggy with your partner.

Maybe you’re worried what people think about your clothing choices, your dancing, or the car you drive instead of doing all those things proudly and freely in the moment.

While we’re here, you can slip “distracted” in there for “thinking/worried”.

Because that’s what it is, a huge distraction from the life and the experiences that are right in front of you.

So do something for me please. Or rather, for yourself.

Notice when you’re distracted and figure out why. It’s gonna be something that has you stuck in worry enough to ignore your present.

Then do whatever you need to move past it and focus on what’s in front of you right now, no matter what it is.

If you’re struggling to get there, call me. That’s what coaching is all about. None of us are meant to have our world pass us by.

Loving things are to be enjoyed. Hell, even if what’s in front of you isn’t all that loving, you kinda need to pay attention to it to know how to deal with it.

This life, this moment, is passing us all very quickly.

Do you really want to miss a minute of it?

Just because something deep is keeping you distracted?

xoxo
