Today is my birthday. And yes, grab your prezzie below!
I love birthdays, especially my own! The actual day is only the beginning, I treat myself for a whole week. Yep, it’s a party!
It’s not all loud music and dancing, although there is always that. I love hearing from people and the fun gifts that my grand kids make me. And I love how my hubby gives me exactly what I tell him I want. This year it’s something for our new house that will enhance our experience of it together.
My birthday is also always a reflective time for me.
I love thinking about what my parents were doing when I became their 5th child, living in a large trailer with 3 other adults who needed a place to live as they all got established as workers at a northern Ontario mine.
I love looking at old pictures of how my family cared for me with pure love in their eyes, the kind of love that I have in my eyes when I look at my own children and their children.
I love to think about marrying the love of my life and how I would do it again, knowing that if that wasn’t the way it all worked out, I would still be ok.
I love to watch my kids and grandkids and think about what I have taught them about the world and how to be themselves in the middle of it, knowing that they are and will always be ok no matter what.
I love to think about the women who’s lives I have been apart of over the years, women who were brave enough to say they wanted more and went the fuck after it. I know I do this work for them.
And as I move into more of an intuition-based practice, I can whole-heartedly say that I love to connect with spirit and get as much “divine intervention” as I can. More on that one as I grow into it.
That’s why I love birthdays. It’s never about getting older, that’s inevitable.
Birthdays are about who we are. Today, yesterday and especially tomorrow.
And being grateful for every little bit of it.
With my gratitude for you being part of my community and my life, I will send the first 21 people who play, a copy of Find Your Voice, Save Your Life. Just email me and simply say “Book, please!”.
You might not want to finish all of it before you play. Just sayin’
Big love and cheers to birthdays!
