In light of the above, I give you 3 easy ways to get your inner tank filled…
 
  1. Notice when you’re on empty. Are you tired? Cranky? Not getting your own shit done? Getting annoyed with all those fucking demands on you?
  2. Give yourself permission to do something for you, and only you. Mark off a chunk of time in your calendar, in permanent marker (cause you can’t mess with permanent marker, it’s called permanent for a reason), and make the commitment in your mind that unless someone dies, it’s non-negotiable you time. Mantra…"I am worth taking time to recharge, I am worth taking time to recharge, I am worth taking time to recharge."
  3. Show up for your allotted time. Notice I’m not telling you what you should be doing in your fill-your-tank time. That’s your call. Think things that make you feel strong again. My last tank-filling day was spent with the air of a sweaty body because it felt so damn good to have worked that hard at the gym! Ok, you don’t have to go that far, but you get the message. Do what you know heals you, and only heals you. Move your feet, move your ass, and get it done.
